Ok, so I've been poking around online looking for for some gear and came across something pretty neat.  Has anyone taken a look at one of these?  See, I'm looking to put together a very basic kit to carry a few magazines securely during a carbine class and to have as a grab and go rig.  I was just going to go w/an old MOLLE bandoleer, but I want something that won't flop around as much.

Has anyone messed w/this bandoleer/chest rig hybrid?  I was thinking about one of those, w/a three magazine shingle from SO Tech on it.  Nice and simple, easy reach, and more secured than a conventional bandoleer.  However, it's freaking EXPENSIVE, don't you agree?  Anyone else make a similar product that I could also look at?  What do you think?

optactical.com has a slightly better price than spec ops website. neither military morons nor milspecmonkey have anything on it. it does look interesting though. it'd be nice if spec-ops would give a 360 of it though. in some pictures it makes it look like it might have pouches attached on one side and the other side is molle webbing.

I was looking at optactical.com as well, I've ordered from them a few times before and they've always been pretty spot on.  They actually have MOLLE webbing on both sides so it can be set up to wear on either the left side/hip or the right.  It also has a zippered internal pouch so it can be used like a messenger bag.  It looks like a pretty squared away idea though.

I've got two of them in stock in CB that I got for evaluation.  They're not bad, but wouldn't be my first choice for an "active shooter" bag.  But for customization and carrying only what you want, and the ability to toss other crap into it, it can't be beat.  But I do agree...they are expensive for what they are, compared with other items out there.

I'd go with Eagle's bandoleer at that price, or a Hawkepak bag.
