Cheap and M1A don't go together

You will find two links on my web page.
Make sure you visit Differents M1A site

warrifles.com and rifle-company.com are also great sites.

You can save quite a bit of money buying one used.

I know I did!

I bought a LNIB box SA M1A standard synthrtic for $950 shipped off our EE. That's $300 less than my dealer wanted for a new one!

With the money I saved, I can start shopping around for USGI parts.

I'm a flash suppressor short of collecting all the parts for an all USGI build. I bought a barreled SA receiver (SAK barrel) and have bought:

HR trigger group
HR op rod
new TRW bolt
USGI SA gas system

All the remaining small parts were ordered today, save the FS.

Cost me $1400 total

Now, get this..... I got bored with it and want to sell it to get a PTR now. I know, blasphemy.

It could be accumulated a bit cheaper, but it'd require a lot more shopping around, and risking getting questionable parts. I'm not very patient though. I planned to start this as a 2 year project, slowly accumulating parts each paycheck. I bought the barreled receiver three weekends ago, and now I'm just waiting for UPS to deliver.
