Cheap and M1A don't go together
You will find two links on my web page.
Make sure you visit Differents M1A site
warrifles.com and rifle-company.com are also great sites.
There are 2 right now with USGI barrels for sale
You can save quite a bit of money buying one used.
I know I did!
I bought a LNIB box SA M1A standard synthrtic for $950 shipped off our EE. That's $300 less than my dealer wanted for a new one!
With the money I saved, I can start shopping around for USGI parts.
LRB has some M14 parts kits www.lrbarms.com
LIMITED QUANTITY All parts except barrel are original USGI in used servicable condition. Parts vary from good to L/N and may show finish wear. Wood stocks have minor dings from normal service use. Barrel is new Criterion chrome lined, your choice of 22" or 18 1/2". Kit includes 10 or 20 rd mag
One stop shopping
I'm a flash suppressor short of collecting all the parts for an all USGI build. I bought a barreled SA receiver (SAK barrel) and have bought:
HR trigger group
HR op rod
new TRW bolt
USGI SA gas system
All the remaining small parts were ordered today, save the FS.
Cost me $1400 total
Now, get this..... I got bored with it and want to sell it to get a PTR now. I know, blasphemy.
It could be accumulated a bit cheaper, but it'd require a lot more shopping around, and risking getting questionable parts. I'm not very patient though. I planned to start this as a 2 year project, slowly accumulating parts each paycheck. I bought the barreled receiver three weekends ago, and now I'm just waiting for UPS to deliver.
