Is there anything up there?
If so you could use my FAV sling, the IDF Wide sling. It's TWO point and ataches by paracord. |

Mark- I was looking at that same one, I think. However all I have is a gas block with a rail in front of the handguards so I don't know if I could securely attach it. I guess I could put a sling swivel through the handguard maybe. Oh it's on a Cavarms lower so I can't use a one point sling either-DOH! |

Not sure I understand your post, but do you have a gas block with a short length of Picatinny rail above/below the barrel? If so, you could get one of these:

Bushmaster, brownells (I think) and others sell a plate that inserts between the stock & the receiver & provides a single point of atachment for a single point sling.

Yes I have a gas block with a short rail on top, that Bushy item might work. The single point hook up won't work as I want to use a cav lower with it. I have to remember how I'm actually going to carry the thing before I create my next monstrosity.
