It will be effective out to 300M, but keep in mind the limited velocity will have an effect on the frangmentation range of the 5.56 round. I don't know the stats off the top of my head but I know it's less than 100M. The SIG webpage (Europe) states the 552 Commando to have a 300M effective range. |

My department switched to the select fire 10.5 inch Sig556 about a year ago. So far nothing but good. Great rifle and fit in the patrol vehicle as well. I have been shooting out to 200 yards with nothing but hits on the steel.
