First post in this forum, so I would like some opinions..........I have a 9mm AR project that I am in the process of completing, and while it's a nice rifle, I have contemplated going the SBR route with it............anyone think that it's worth it? Should i do it?

Absolutely.  I love my 9mm SBR.  Even with the suppressor attached, it's still 3" shorter than a 16" carbine & less than 21" OAL collapsed without the can.

I we could do it in MI, I would in a second.  Especially if it's a 9mm.  Probably even a .223.

I just put together one that looks almost identical to that...

RRA lower/RRA 9mm upper.  YHM handguard over a TROS 5" 3-lug barrel with a SWR QD3K.  I have an Aimpoint on mine, but actually would have preferred an Eotech.

I just got the lower back from the engraver yesterday, so no pics yet.

Mine is not 9mm but it is as short as you can get and I love it.  I have other 16" AR's but this SBR is my favorite.

It is nice to have a firearm at the range that just happens to be alittle more exotic than everyone elses!

i used to not understand why anyone would want an SBR. not full auto right? then who cares?

that was until i got an SBR.

they are most definetely worth it.

Had the internet been around prior to May of '86, I suppose the same discussions could have taken place regarding full auto conversions.

There will be a day in the future, when we look back and say: "DAMN, I wish I had SBR'd ALL my long guns before the ban took place.
