Hello

I currently have a post-ban bushy AR15-A2 14.5". I was thinking to buy a battle rifle chambered in .308, but after thinking I changed my mind and decided that .223 is more practical in terms of "general" stuff - plinking, home defense, under 300 meter shooting, and so on.

I would really like to have a HK 93, but I know the prices are going too high, so I think I'm stuck with AR15 again.

Do you think a post-ban 20" AR15 is worth having? What is the difference between 14.5" and 20" in terms of accuracy and foot power?
(I know I could look at the statistics but I'm asking your personal experiences with them)

If I'd buy one, I will buy AR15 20" with flattop to incorporate bigger 4x ACOGs, since I plan to get a 2x compact ACOG for the M4-type AR15.

Your opinions will be greatly appreciated

To answer your question, Hell Yes! Anytime you can get another AR15 is a good day in my book.

More AR's are always better.Depending on if you live in an Urban or Rural area,I would go with a CAR or an M4 if you live in the city or an Urban area,in the counrty I would take the 20" Just my .02!

SILLY QUESTION!

one can never have "too many" AR's!

20" will deliver slightly higher velocity vs. 14.5".. would recommend 1-8 or 1-9 twist for accuracy & wider range of bullet weight.

i just got another lower to build up. problem is i don't know if i want a 20' with a2 upper or if i wanna get a ss 24' flat top w/out front sight ala varmint style.

When you have 4 or 5 and start buying complete uppers and/or lowers as replacements, or so you tell your wife, maybe then it's time to get something else! Until then keep buying AR's.

Hello.

Thanks for your encouragement, an excuse for another AR. :)

I live in New Castle county, near pike creek.
No I didn't go to the Maryland range, but I shot in the ommelanden or something like that(naming is really hard :P) it has 50 meter rifle range but it is mostly a pistol range...so now I'm registered and in the brandywine hundred rod and gun club, which has 200 meter rifle range.
