I just took apart the magazine on my Mossberg 590DA1 and found not one but two shell followers. It would only hold 7 in the mag but it functioned beautifully and I left alone until I had time to look into it. As you know the mag is supposed to hold 8rds. I feel this is a definite lack of quality control on Mossbergs part. Do you think I should email them and let them know their QC needs work. Or... should I forget it and enjoy my extra shell follower?

I love Mossberg products by the way. I traded a 8rd 500 model to get the 590 (for the extra round and the bayonet lug) and I also have an 835. If your company made this mistake would you want to hear about it?

I don't think I would call them on it. Probably just a rare fluke kind of thing.

I wouldn't worry myself over it, just look at it as you got an extra part for free .

Have a beer (Or your beverage of choice), relax.. Lifes too short to sweat the small stuff. Flukes happen...

Yeah, you guys are right! The reason it hacked me was because the extra follower kept me from sliding home the last round by a 3/8 of an inch and I knew that SOB was supposed to go in there. Oh well, it must have been assembled on a Friday. But like I said above, I love my Mossbergs and always will.
I just thought of something, if this is all I have to bitch about.... then maybe I really am a Lckydevl
