I don't believe Sears manufactured any of their own guns.  I believe they were all made under contract by existing gun makers, such as Stevens, Ithica, an others.  I have a Sears JC Higgens Model 20 in 12 gauge that was my grandfather's.  It's a solid field-grade hunting gun.

What gun are specifically interested in?

A few years ago (only about 5) I passed on a JC Higgins (Sears)  .270.

I asked the dealer if it was a Husqvarna, he replied it was an FN, and with a period 4x Leupold, too. Like $350.

Well, I never read that much Jack O'Connor, never had the .270 bug, so I passed.

About 3 weeks later I realized what I passed up; of course, it was gone.

C'est la vie.
