Given the limited range of these carbines, and the far from flat-shooting nature of their projectiles, IMHO a standard scope would seem to be superflous.

However, a low magnification Scout scope, or red dot, mounted Scout style just forward of the action, would have significant advantages.

Any skilled gunsmith should be able to fabricate such a mount.

ETA: Some PC carbines have barrel-mounted rear sights, and others have rear peep apertures.  Whatever you do about the scope, consider removing the barrel-mounted rear sight, and installing the far superior rear peep.  This set-up is so much better, you may decide not to bother with the scope at all.  If your PC did not come with a peep rear aperture originally, Ruger sells a Ghost Ring rear sight kit for about $56.
