Anyone here mess with them?  I havent been able to find a good source on loading instructions.  Does the greenhill formula still apply?  I just dont know where to start.  I'm loading for a BFG-50 with the standard 1:15 29.5" barrel.

If you have a muzzle break, then sabots are a no-go.  Too many bad things could happen.

Having said that, here is a website with Sabot load data.

Mark Serbu told me that they have had no problems with them since they opened up the exit hole on the brake a little.  Have you seen problems or is it just a general practice?

Excellent link btw.

General practice.

Sabots work by seperating from the bullet when the are no longer needed (after leaving the bore).

If they open up in the break, then can lodge on the break and change the direction of the bullet, possible causing the bullet to strike the muzzle break.

That would be bad.
