Had been debating on whether I wanted the Osprey or Tirant but now the debates over. I love the Octane 9.

Can it handle 10mm?

Nice. Price is $150 more than the 9mm though. Being the same price as an Osprey makes it a little less appealing.

But you can tear it down so lead bullets are GTG! that is worth the extra for a guy who reloads....

Nice it looks like it can compete with the AAC Ti-Rant and Silencerco Osprey for a hearing safe 45 suppressor. I do like this suppressor is full-auto rated. However while the Osprey is not full-auto rated, I do think it makes the best 45 pistol suppressor. I think this SWR Octaine 45 would be a good SMG suppressor though. I also love my SWR Trident 9 on my 9mm subguns better than with my pistols.

Oh I know, I love the Octane. I just don't see why the 45 Octane would cost $150 more than the 9 Octane. Silencerco and AAC price their handgun suppressors the same, regardless of caliber.

I think the Osprey is probably the best dedicated handgun suppressor around, and the Octane would be my first choice for mixed use on different guns, especially machine guns. It would be really nice to see them make a .40 Octane, but I doubt that'll happen.

i just took my new Octane 9 to the range to day. I shot 9mm fmj, 158g LSWC 38spl from a 16" rifle and 22LR from my SBR through it. It sounds great with all of it. As stated since it is cleanable i dont worry one bit about lead in it. I guess it would be nice to have the 45 over the 9mm. But it is a inch longer and a few ounces heavier. If i didnt have either it would be a tough choice. But since i have the 9mm i couldn't be happier with it.

I am on the list at Silencer Shop for the Octane 9 HD 2. I am going to use it for 9mm and 300 BLK subs.

I have an Osprey 45 in process (still 3 months to go..) and would love a serviceable 45 can. I guess you can never have too many!

I was going to get a Tirant 45, but if this Octane 45 will fit the OCT9 three lug, and is a bit cheaper than the AAC  I might just have to change my mind
