Anyone else have problems with a SW5 (I know, Iknow, spare me your reviews...) and failure to eject?
Getting some pretty ugly jams.  Who / where to get it fixed? |

Mine had the same problem... Call Bobcat (talk to Cort) and they will issue you a return number. The guns are guaranteed for life, so they'll fix it for free. They got mine on Thursday, and promised a turn-around of five days or so at the most. I know these guys catch a lot of crap on these boards (many times from people that have never even owned their products, I would guess), but my dealings thus far have been very helpful and friendly. Give'em a chance to make it right, before you look to a gunsmith, etc.

SW5 have a life time warranty? I thought it was one year starting from the day it was manufactured.

Are you using the Win white box ammo. If so try somthing elsa. My SW5 dont like it at all. Also have you replaced the extrator spring.

+1 on the ejector spring, I beleive a lot of folks use the 223 one instead. ALso, I thought SW had a 1 year warranty, BW has a lifetime. I'm not sure if SW even does business anymore.

First of all - usagold, that is a handy chart.
Secondly, for the record i was firing 115 grn Federal Hi-Shok JHP. I've heard that some of the SW5's can be a bit 'finicky', but that should be a plenty-hot-enough round. HiramRanger - will Bobcat honor the SW warranty even though I'm not the original purchaser? (I bought it used in the EE here several months ago) |

Well unless the previous owner registered the rifle by name, how would they know if you are the original purchaser or not? Everytime I've seen someone ask Mr. Bailey about a problem he tells them to call the guy at Bobcat and ship the weapon in and it will be fixed. From the follow-up posts I've seen, it has been... SW and Bobcat weapons alike.
