photoman,
I once had a spaz12 in 99% condition. It was Fed-registered but when I returned to CA, after the CORPS, I was to afraid to keep it. It was not registered in CA as an AW (I was based out of state & didn't have a clue about the AW ban).
I sold it to an out of state FFL holder for only $650 (had a folder but no hook). I still have trouble sleeping at night when I think about the loss and the "give away price!"
Yes, their are way better (in many aspects) tactical shotguns. The spaz12 is a big heavy cubersome hunk of iron with an overwhelming abundance of whistles and bells. I would personally never chose one for my primary defence weapon.
Now with that said, "IIIIIIIII WAAAAAAAANT MYYYYYYY SPAZ12 BAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With the foler and hook, it has got to be the COOOOLEST shotgun ever made! I don't care how problematic it may be! Just the plain joy it gave me to open the safe and see that gugly SOB there. It looked so leathal that you'd almost expect to see Military markings on it.
Getting rid of it is one of my greatest regrets. I would have been better off keeping it out of state or possibly hidding it behind my dry wall, just to know it was still mine.
Snif, snif, I dotta go now, I'm getting teary eyed.
