I received a Centerfire folder that needs refinishing.  The rubber buttpad would not likely last through the 300  degrees enamal baking processs.  Has anybody had any luck removing the rubber buttplate? Maybe Acetone would disolve the glue ??????????  HELP

The rubber pads are epoxied in place. You're going to play hell getting it off in reusable condition.  Replacement pads are hard to find but they are out there.

I refinished mine with Duracoat. It only needs to be heated to 140, used HK semi gloss and it matched perfect.

I'm assuming no damage to the rubber at 140 degrees, I wonder if it would melt at 300?
