Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Rough estimate for a standard M14?

What would be a rough estimate at a price for a standard (as close to a real M14 as possible) Springfield M1A? Also, are M1A's treated the same as AR-15's are in terms of ordering and paperwork? In Maryland, AR's are treated like a handgun. I'm not sure about the M1A though because it doesn't have a lot of the so-called "deadly" features that an AR has. (pistol grip, etc.)

A rough estimate would be around $1100 or so. I have no idea about the silly anti gun laws in Maryland.
