If you just want to make hole, you may as well be able to do it fast.
Save up for the AR10.

Sendero Will make smaller holes than the AR-10, is Cheaper.... and is a great Benchrest rifle

AR-10's are nice but they don't come In 7mm Rem. Mag or .300 Win. Mag.

But you can get a AR-10 on a 300 Win Short mag or any of the new flavors of short mag...
You can get it in .260 Rem. There are options.. Personally I would take the bolt gun.. |

Ahhhh... nothing like a new gun to lift the spirits Now I need to pick a mount, rings, and a scope for this thing. I'll probably go with a Leupold VXIII 6.5-20 AO for the glass, but I don't know beans about mounts or rings...suggestions? The gun is 300 WM. Wooohooo! |

Rob a 7-11 and buy my ar10a4 with 4 10 rounders.....kidding! Don't rob the 7-11.

Do a search for 700 PSS...you'll find more to read than you've got hours in a day. Do the search over on The Firing Line, too. Tons of info to confuse the hell out of you! I just mounted mine in Redfield SR bases and Redfield rings (med. or high) to get shootin' quicker. Good deal for you today, gettin' a new rifle. |

The AR-10 should shoot rings around the Remington. Not to mention be worth much more money & LOTS more fun!!! Not even a close call, IMO.

MAYBE an AR10-T will "shoot rings around a Rem." Maybe. My AR10A4C SS isn't in the same league as my Rem 700VS, also a .308. You can buy 3 700VS's for one AR10T. Or a 700VS/PSS, PLUS a VariX III Leupold, for less than the price of a regular grade AR10, sans optics. Not even a close call, IMO. |
