Remington is. I was told it was restricted but guys claim they just call Remington and order it.

I got the complete fore-end from Remington a year or so ago. The guy on the phone insisted it would not work on a standard 870, but It fits just fine.
I never understood why a fore-end would be restricted.

Were you able to just remove the old retaining nut slide the forearm on and reuse the old nut? no, you have to replace the fore-end AND the fore-end tube. You can get it from Remington as a complete unit, if Reminton will sell it to you. |
