I found one in decent shape at a pawn shop . It looked like a nice old gun bolt action tube feed that takes .22 S , L , LR . It actualy looked like the bolt was color case hardened???

Are they any good ? I googled them and didnt come up w/ much .

The 512 is as you note a tube fed bolt gun. They also made a mag fed (511) and single shot (510).
They are dandy little 22s. I wouldn't get rid of my 510 for nothin' . They have been out of production for years. Mine was purchased by  my father when he was young, he's in his 80s now. O and yes it STILL shoots great.

Very solid, good shooters. The bolt shroud does have case colors on it. A worthy purchase if a decent price. Better than the Savage and Marlin of today.
