I bought a Glock 26 off a friend today and he decided to throw in a Remington 11-48 16 gauge for free. Never one to say no to a free firearm I took it. Now I've been trying to research this particular shotgun for the better part of an hour now and can't find to much info on an 11-48 16 gauge. Were/are they rare? I've looked on the Remington official site and see that they no longer make the 11-48 in that gauge. I was looking to get a new barrel for it but can't seem to find a retailer who carries them. Any light you guys can shed on this shotgun will be of great help.

Thanks

My Dad has an 11-48 in 12 ga. and he loves it. We've been looking for a new forend for it for years. It's a great shooter. I don't know anything about how rare they are - my gut says probably not rare. I'd just shoot the snot out of it.

11-48 Basic Info. It looks like 71K was their entire production line.

Try Numrich(sp). They have a number of old/obsolete parts.
