Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Refinish Mossberg 500 Question..

I started working on an seasoned mossberg 500. I stripped down the barrel, magazine tube, foreend ect. with Birchwood Casey rust and blue remover.

I got to the receiver and it did not do jack. I think the receiver is anodizing rather than bluing.

This gun is getting Brownells Aluma-Hyde II and I dont know if I need to prime over the receiver or blast it off?
