I'm thinking about trying a RDS for my Ruger Scout Rifle, and was considering either a Bushnell Trophy TRS-25 or a Primary Arms Micro Dot. They are about equal in price, and I don't want to spend much more than $100. My main concern is the ability for these lower end optics to hold up to repetitive .308 recoil. Thoughts?

I had a Bushnell TRS-25 on my gunsite. I liked it quite a bit, very fast. Not a bad optic, especially at the price, but I have never had any trouble with a Primary Arms optic either.

-I know these aren't what you asked about, but figured I would add.

I liked having the Leupold FX 2.5 IER scope more, just for the extra precision the scope offered.

BUT, I am having a lot of thoughts about grabbing a Aimpoint with a 2 moa dot, like a C3, just to find that nice middle ground, and being able to leave it on constantly.
