hey guys i was looking throught the stickys and i never new they had RDIAS for m-16/ar 15's i new they had them for HKS but anyways i was wondering how much one of these would cost and how do you transfer them?

Current market is about $13,000 for an aluminum body RDIAS and $14,000 for steel.

Average cost - approx $13.5K

Transfers on a Form 4.

To add, in order for the RDIA to be legal and transferable (form 4 to you), it has to be registered before may 19.1986. Since there are limited amount of them in the Fed Reg (in before the cut off date), this is why they demand such prices.

The units in shotgun news, although may have been produced before the ban, but since they were never registered before the cut off date, are worthless to anyone other than a dealer who could add it to the reg now as a post ban items for LEO (form 5 or 10)/export only.

Those might be the average listed price, but I don't think they're selling for that. I recently picked up an FB Whitman & Son (AL body) for $12k after seeing it sit for a couple of months at a higher price point.

Yeah, I listed my Stemple steel RDIAS at $14k for a week before I realized that while that was the market price at one time, that's not where the market is right now. Then I had it listed at $13k for a couple weeks and finally sold it last week for just a little less than that.

Does anyone have a List of the companys that made them before the cutoff date of 1984 or is it 1986 ?

The cutoff date is May 19, 1986.

They were made by Stemple, Broadhead Armory, Neal Smith, RPB, SWD, JCB, Whitman & Sons... maybe a couple of others.
