I go into the my favorite funshop today, and in the consign. rack is a Benelli "Tactical 12" or
"M1 Tactical" semi-auto shotgun, with ghost-ring sights,extended tube, magnaported,and sling for $879. I don't know alot about Benelli's except that they are pricey. I have a Rem. 870 and I'm happy with it. I don't shoot clays or competition but I've always been intrigued by the semi-autos.
If you're an owner, what are your likes/ dislikes?
Will they function with reduced-recoil loads?
Your input is appreciated.

I have a Benelli M1 tactical. It is a great shotgun. I have shot trap and skeet with it and even took it hunting a few times. (By the way the pistol grip stock is great, but not for hunting pheasants)

$879 is not a bad price. I think I paid $875 for mine 6 years ago.

That's a good price! They're not making them any more. I paid a little more than that for mine, and I love it.

I shot some 1oz. light trap loads through it the first time I took it shooting and they cycled fine! Get it, you won't be disappointed!

Benelli makes a great shotgun.

I have one of the M1 Super 90 fields, which is the same gun as the tactical but dressed out in a hunting configuration.

I used it during last year's duck season, and I must say, it is by far the best shotgun I've ever owned or shot.  The inertia system is very reliable, I have yet to have any problems with the benelli.  This is something considering the abuse that hunting ducks puts on a firearm i.e.  ice, mud, banging around in the bottom of a boat etc.

$879.00 is a good price on that shotgun, I would run with it.
