Going to re-chamber a Savage barrel to 22-250 and have 350 round of Remington 50 gr HP that I have been trying to sell on EE.  Since noone is biting on the ammo, my thoughts are to pull the bullets (dump the powder) and load up the cases up with the 80 gr SMK I intend to shoot.  Not sure if I want to start chipping away at the throat with the 50 gr bullets.  Although, the cases would be fire-formed to the chamber and I would only have to neck size (as I see being the only benefit).  I can re-use the powder and bullet as plinking fodder for one of my AR.

I don't think 350 rounds is going to damage your throat... just shoot them slowly and don't do rapid fire.  Waste of time to pull bullets IMO.

So, the barrel is an 8 or 9 twist with a .224 inch bore?  Will the magazine accept a long cartridge?

Douglas Premium 1-8 twist  and I can swap out the .223 box magazine on the  action with a .308 magazine to accommodate the .22-250.  GOLDEN!

It would take me a lot less time to pull bullets then fire them slowly through the rilfe.  The time alone driving to the range would be about the same to pull the bullets.

All most makes me feel I would be using component needlessly...........Think I figured it out.
