I was just curious if any one knows the expense and what a pain in the ass it is to get FFL's or class III licenses.

I saw in another thread your from Broome county, no class III for us at all in NY but just hop over the border to PA.  As far as obtaining a FFL I will say this: others will be able to explain better than I, but they make it difficult enough that the average person will not go through the trouble unless you are seriously intending to go into business.
