Do any of you have pictures of your guns sitting in the case?  I'm interested especially in those of you who have Starlight type cases and in how many mags, etc. you keep in there.  I just got two Starlights (one pistol, one carbine), and am having a hard time deciding how to arrange the toys inside.

Sorry for the lack of photos, but I only have a couple cases, and they have to suffice for all of my guns.

I'd like to customize one, but I am disinclined to do it because I'm always moving scopes and stuff around between rifles.  No accessory stays in one place for long.

But just to satisfy your "case jones" here is a photo that somebody else here posted a while back (can't recall who), and I saved it because I liked the idea, even if it was not practical for myself.

<EDIT>
Removed old pic,  new pics at the bottom

Yes I suck at cutting straight lines.  Especially through that foam.

That was before I got my 16" tuber.  I have that on top now.

Also got a small Starlight off of that SniperCountry sale for my mags and pistols.

More pics when I can find em.

Any recommendations on what type of foam to ask for and where one might find it?
Also, what's the best 'cutter' for this foam so the lines come out clean and straight?
I'm planning on getting the Browning Travel Vault for two long guns and will want to be able to have different inserts for different combinations.
Thanks.

Dang!  I don't even own any cases.  How would you ever get dings on your weapons?

The top half of the tactical Starlight case:
My 16" AR, 3 USGI 20s, 2 DPMS 10s, and a LULA.

Bottom half of the case:
My 24" AR, bipod, and brass catcher.

My Cabela's overstock case from Starlight:
My Beretta 92FS, 2 Beretta mags stacked (might be able to hold 3 that way), my molded earplugs, and 15 USGI 20s.

Treetop, Jakezor, Hineline... nice shtuff ya got there.

My Sub2000 has a spare mag holder and an M6 light/laser under the handguard.  Sweet shooter.  Jake I just dig that AR you have there.

Thanks Hokie,  the DPMS parts mongrel or the Deluxe 24?

its a pelican 1750 case. i cut it out with my benchmade pur-dar auto-knife, it actually cut really nice, jus drew an outline of AR and put foam on cardboard and cut it out.

Say, die-tryin, is that a GREEN HOGUE grip you've got on there?
The rifle looks like a Dissipator style, my favorite.  Nice.

I'll throw another one at ya.  The configuration is constantly changing (it now always includes the detachable carry handle), but here's what I typically take to the Texas Tactical matches:

Shadowblade and BlammO got their sh** together!

BlammO - what model Glock is that in the first pic? G17?

die_tryin - WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR MAGS!?!?

It's a Glock 19.  Don't give me too much credit, though, because even though the Sub 2000 is Glock-friendly, it requires G17 mags, not G19.  Doh!  But I really think I need a few of the 33-round mags for the Sub 2000.

Wow!  That is proof positive that pink and purple rifles can be ultra-practical!  Fantastic idea!  My hat is off to you for bringing those kids up right.

Any recommendations on what type of foam to ask for and where one might find it?

If someone hasn't stated yet you really should buy some closed-cell foam for the best protection for your weapons.  Just Google it and you ought to find a few distributors.  The stuff is not cheap but then again neither are weapons.
