I lucked out a few years ago and bought a 100 lb roll of plumbers lead for $20 at a yard sale.  Those of us who mold our own, this is the cat's meow.  Just a thought.

Damn, you lucky ****!  Around here lead is a buck/pound so you did better'n five times market value (or 1/5th, something like that)

I use shotgun slugs that i pick up at the range.  They are very soft and plentiful after every one sights in for deer season. They don't sink into the berm deeply and percolate up when it rains.  I just make sure they're dry when i use them.
