Where are you guys finding a good place to buy different sizes of either Plastilube or Lubriplate to grease up your M1?

Is one better than the other? Just looking for some advice before wasting my money.

Plastilube replaced Lubriplate grease for US rifles.

I'm using Aeroshell 7 (aircraft grease) for a gun grease. It's reasonable priced and has specs to kill for.

I am assuming this stuff has no effects on the parkerizing?

It hasn't on mine.

I've used it on several parked guns with no problems. BSW

Agreed, both Lubriplate and Plastilube have no ill effects on phosphate coating.  Plastilube is made by Henkel in Germany.  Try your local BMW dealer parts department for a can of Plastilube.  Both meet the military rifle grease specification. MIL-G-46003A.

Lubriplate and Plastilube can be bought in tubes and cans from Brownell's and Champion's Choice.

Truth is, any good grade, heat and water risistant grease will work just fine.
I know several National Match shooters who buy Moly-Lithium grease in big tubes at Walmart.
Its black and nasty, but works great.
