Plastilube replaced Lubriplate grease for US rifles.

Agreed, both Lubriplate and Plastilube have no ill effects on phosphate coating. Plastilube is made by Henkel in Germany. Try your local BMW dealer parts department for a can of Plastilube. Both meet the military rifle grease specification. MIL-G-46003A.

Lubriplate and Plastilube can be bought in tubes and cans from Brownell's and Champion's Choice.

I know several National Match shooters who buy Moly-Lithium grease in big tubes at Walmart. Its black and nasty, but works great. |
