Wanted a Benelli but can't have the extended tube on a post ban. Looking for an Alternative. Is it OK to put a pistol grip stock on an 1187 or 1100? Can anyone suggest one? I do not like the one that they are putting on the 870s. It is too thin. Does anyone make a wood pistol grip stock for the 1187 or 1100? Thanks

Yes it is legal.

The Speedfeed stocks are wierd looking but not bad. A Brownells catalog will give you a number of other options, but no wood ones.

For my 3 gun shotgun I added the Speedfeed pistol grip stock set. The shotgun is a Remington 1100 Competition Master. I belive Speedfeed stocks are what Remington uses on their L/E 870 and 1187 models from the factory. Mine went on very nice and looks factory. The black color gets hot in the sun vs the gray....But I found my scores went up a little with the new mods.
