Well yesterday I picked up a Smith to go along with my GSG5 or to atleast give it a break when I go  shooting.  I can't really afford to shoot anything else now so a couple .22's will fill my needs.  I also have a Remington 552 but don't shoot it often, these are much more fun.  Well here are a couple reviews I posted on another site.  I've only put roughly 60 rounds through it so not enough to really get a good idea of how the gun works.

After reading mostly good reviews (some pretty bad ones) I decided to go pick up a S&W M&P 15-22 for a cheaper plinker. I already have a GSG 5 but this seems to get better over all reviews. After only one magazine I'd say no, I had one FTF and one FTE in the only mag I shot through it using Federal bulk from Walmart.

I do feel more comfortable with it in my hands than I do with my GSG. So far though GSG>S&W...

I'll hopefully put some more rounds through it tomorrow with better results. Only plans are for a Hogue grip and maybe a foregrip. Hopefully it feeds better tomorrow.

put another mag through it today with no problems. I also took the scope off of my AR and put it on the Smith. Shoot good but I need to get out and bench shoot it to get the scope perfect. It's not as accurate out of the box with the standard iron sights as my GSG is either. I can pretty much shoot a dime any time at 25 yards with the GSG and couldn't get this thing dialed in like that.

I sighted it in on an orange juice jug aiming for the orange top. After 25 rounds (including sighting in the scope) I never hit the cap. I was like wtf so I got the GSG and blew it out on the 2nd shot  .

I have a steel trap in my basement and a set up to shoot .22's at about 75 feet so once I get some more time I'll get down there and shoot it some more. I will hopefully like it. It weighs about half of what the GSG does, it's almost weird. The GSG feels more solid all the way around but the Smith is 100% easier to clean. I cleaned them both today and it was so easy to clean the M&P.

Not the most conventional method of sighting in a gun but I didn't have much time I will hopefully have some time this week to get the scope dialed in on it.  Well on to the pics:

The scope is a Vector Arms 1.5-4.5, it was like 90 bucks off ebay a few guys on here seemed to like it:

GSG, AR15, M&P I took the scope off because I was to lazy to make it right on the AR.  I will probably put a Primary Arms 4.5-14 or M3 clone with magnifier:

Overall, I like the gun and I think it will make a nice plinker.  I have probably put 1200  or so rounds through my GSG now and haven't had any problems with it other than a few FTF's and FTE's but only a few.  It will be nice to have a couple .22's to shoot if I have a buddy with me or something this summer.

wow.....

the rifles are nice too

on a serious note, I wanna pick up a S&W, but I' like it to be really accurate. If i'm gonna buy an AR platform, I would really want something that I can sit down and get some nice groups with (like u can with a rear AR, LOL)

If you get a chance, sit down with some standard velocity at 25 or 50m and do some 5-shot groups. I would want it to shoot well at 100m, but I know that's prolly far fetched. wish they would make a 20in BBL for target work!
