I just got a new Pelican 1750 for Christmas. I am going to put my M1-A and TRP OP in it. How has everybody cut their foam to fit? I don't really want to hack up a $70 piece of foam. Please help, and I would love to see pics your custom cases. Thx
Shane

I used my jig saw with a fine tooth blade.... works great.

I was recommended (and used) an electric knife. Worked like a charm.

Use an electric carving knife and go slow, letting the knife do all the work. I used a black felt tip pen to trace my gear on the foam, it worked better than the chalk pelican recommended.
The replacements shouldn't be nearly 70 for foam. I changed configs. on my M$ and needed new foam it cost me 30 shipped for the bottom 2 pieces of foam.

A sharpie to mark it and an electric carving knife to cut with.
Cut a little on the small side to begin with. It's always easier to cut more off than to put it back on

there's a thread on this somewhere, I think it's on the AR-15 discussions by Mfingar. He's got pics and instructions; excellent work IMO. Otherwise drop him an IM.
