I just picked up a sacrificial lens and lens cap for my PVS14 and I found that I can't put the lens cap on when the sacrificial lens is installed?  Soooo, is it use one or the other or am I missing something?

Your thoughts??

One or the other. The day cover is kind of mis named as you can't actually use your NVD with the cover on in full blown day light. The ABC in the tube will kick in. The day cover can be used inside of a building and about the only practical use I can think of is say, your showing someone what a NVD can do.

As for the SAC filter it is meant to be used to protect the objective lens. An option is to use a LIF (with screws into the objective lens) and this will protect your objective glass and alow use of the day cover.

Hope that helps
