I've got an ar15,ak47,308 bolt gun, 30-30 lever gun, 2 870 shotguns. Lots of handguns. I need to make this count . Will be my last big purchase for atleast a year. I was thinking a scar or larue rifle. Can spend a little more depending on what it is. Any suggestions?

If it has to be a firearm, I would go SCAR17 and mags.

Build out a nice SASS gun from scratch starting with a nice Lilja 24" barrel in .260 and a nice set of receivers from somewhere fancy.

Buy lots of cheap AR-15's. When the next freak-out happens... sell sell sell...

I've got aimpoint and a nightforce. Good on ammo. Never thought about NVG.

NODS and Suppressor...although with 2800 both of those together would be REALLY stretching it. Go NV from TNVC and then start the process of acquiring a 7.62 suppressor.

Any NFA items?
Link Posted: 3/26/2014 6:30:32 PM EDT
Ok I'll be that guy.....

Hookers and a pile of coke.
Just don't let the bitches rob you.
If you got $ left over pick up Coonan 1911 in .357 mag.

If you aren't reloading yet, set yourself up with a nice Dillon press, a good workbench, an automatic powder measure like RCBS, some dies, and the reloading components you can find online now. I had a similar amount of money to spend two years ago, bought a cheaper LEE press, wish I'd gone with Dillon or RCBS, got the good RCBS powder measure though. My handloads are much better than factory, at lower cost. Only downside has been limited availability of powders. Primers have been up and down, but seem to be back in stock now, and when you can buy a 1000 primers for $35, you can keep your reloading going as long as you have powder.
Personally, I wouldn't go the SCAR route. I think they will drop in price, much like the SIG rifles, MSARs, etc did. I might be wrong, but I don't think demand will support the current pricing, unless another ban comes along.

Scar 16/17 or an MP5 clone. I'm in the same boat and trying to make that decision now.

I gotta go with all the guys saying night vision. I'm working on selling a few things so I can pick up a nice setup for myself. Got plenty of rifles, NV would open up a whole new world...

If I didn't live in a tyrannical state the answer to that question would be a Tavor with a Geissele trigger and an Aimpoint.

Training at a good school or two

You seem to have your rifles and hand guns taken care of. But, you should add this to you collection...

I went with just buying the upper and build the rest.

AR pistol for CQB. Or an AK pistol if you can find one.
Link Posted: 4/22/2014 3:38:51 PM EDT
$2000 on debt and $800 on ammo, unless you are debt free, in which case $2800 on ammo.
Link Posted: 4/22/2014 4:11:31 PM EDT
AR-10 and decent glass can be had for less than that.
Link Posted: 4/22/2014 5:14:15 PM EDT
ammo, parts/optics, suppressor. I don't have a big fat budget like you, but I am done building and buying weapons for awhile. Next big purchase is a 5.56 suppressor

Who said anything about strapped to your head... Get a clip on thermal to run in front of an acog or a standalone thermal weapon sight.

Same here!!!

Reply to OP:

I would say get either NVGs & IR laser or a bullpup and a nice optic. Ever since I got my Tavor all my AR's and AK's have been collecting dust mostly. If I could get what I paid for my AR I would sell that sucker. But I panicked and bought it before BHO got in office
