I have a Charles Daly over/under 12 guage. It was made in Japan In the 70's (I think). The engraving on this shotgun is beautiful. It is in near 100% condition. What is the word on these? It was a gift so I have no idea of it worth. Any help would be great. Thanks

The Charles Daly O/U gun you have hase made by B.C. Miroku (should be marked on the underside of the receiver. This is the same factory that makes the Japanese Browning O/U, and you'll find that similar vintage Brownings are almost identical to your CD.

Unfortunately, the CD guns don't have the value that the Browning marked guns do.

There are four different grades of the CD over unders. with 98% guns in the 3 lower grades bringing between $500 & $700 (I sold a Superior Grade Trap gun for ~ $650 a year or so ago). It's mainly a matter of finding someone who knows what these guns are and what they are worth.
