Mailed my form 1 that is. I had been getting ready to go the trust route because everyone told me I could never get a signoff in the area I live. Just for laughs, I emailed my local chief about a signoff. Well, after having to explain what an NFA weapon was he told me to bring it by and he'd look at it. I made an appt. to see him and he signed without any hesitation. The one comment that sticks out was "ya know noone ever asked me for this before". I guess the moral of the story is, don't believe what everyone at the range or the gunshop tells you and find your own answers.

Your course of action was exactly what alot of guys need to do. Too many people, put too much creditability in rumors. You made a call, made an appointment, and got what you needed after you explained the process to the CLEO. GOOD WORK
