Finally got a project of mine finished. The barrel was cut down and the FH was permed by ABS Inc., great people to deal with.

Hate me if you must

Make a cap for it.

What, and an M-1 carbine just isn't small enough for you?

Pretty sweet though! As a side comment, can you mount an Aimpoint on an M-1 carbine? That would be totally sweet!

I would just round it off w/ sandpaper and put some finish on it.

At least you didn't ask a stupid question and get called on it.

I would also vote for rounding the forend of the stock and refinishing unless you are good working with metal. I think sanding the stock would be the easier solution.

reminds me of a M1 carbine. where's the bayonet lug?

It's still just a pea shooter though.

Not your dad's 10/22

Damn straight, if my kid came along and showed me that thing...

I'd ask him, "Where the hell is the hardware for the front of the stock?"

I think your scope rail is on backwards. It's hanging off the ass end.

Forgot to add: Nice rig, now finish it!

Honestly, my dad DID have a 10-22 close to that. He made a folding stock for it and cut the barrel down to 16 inches. His had a scope with see through rings though. Pretty cool gun you got there!

Thats right it isn't my dads 10/22 his is in the safe.

Only thing thats different is the stock sightes and barrel. Looks like the same trigger to me. Wheres dur front peace.

nice rig

Looks good, but I would cut the tip of the fore-end off so that it doesn't have a step down. Trust me, it looks MUCH better that way. Once you cut that off, just slightly round the edges and refinish it... I would personally refinish the whole stock though if I were you - A nice semi-dark stain. The only problem that comes with a new stain, is that you'll have to wear it down again.

I hate a new looking finish on a wood stock... When the age shows through is when I'm happy.

BTW, nice barrel/setup!
