I've got an 870 that I am going to re-finish but I've got Trijicon night sights on it (that cannot be removed). I would really like to use the Norrells Moly Resin but I am worried about the effect of the baking proceedure on the sights. Anybody have any experience here? Am I stuck with using the duracoat?

Thank you!

Ive done pistol slides with night sights installed, as well as handfuls of night sights into the ovens to test the affects of temps on the vials. Adhesives, vials, tritium, etc all take the heat just fine. Ive tested up to 500 degrees with no problems. Would have gone higher to see if I could induce failure, but oven just wont do it. Bake away with confidence

Cleaner,

Thank you very much for your information. I'll report back with some pictures when I'm done!
