I live in CT, so I can't own a real UZI. However, I just put a deposit on a Norinco copy.

Any opinions on the Norinco Uzi's? This is the only one that I've ever seen.

I've owned a couple. Got 'em when I was a young kid.
Back in the day when I bought firearms based on what the bad guy used in the movies rather than what was of any real value.
Anyway, I hope you know how to tension mag feedlips, bkuz the mold used by Norinco to make the mags was an exact copy of the Israeli one, but the feedramp on the Chinese gun is at a different angle.

My Model 320 has run perfectly fine with both the mags it came with and the half-dozen Israeli 25 rounders I picked up used.

Now if I could just get past the incredibly uncomfortable butthole stock. I have other parts to try but the stock has got to go.

For the $400 I paid for mine ANIB with all the accessories, it's a decent plinker.

Actually, it has the up-and-under folding stock.

It's still uncomfortable, but...it's a folder!!

If it's marked "Norinco Mdl 320" it's a post-ban gun (only imported in 1996). There are preban Uzi Model B copies. Just double check to keep yourself legal.

i dont tihnk ANY norinco uzis made it over to be preban. i know alot of guys have ILLEGALLLY put folders on them. perhaps a good compromise is one of the new fixed stocks vector is using. thats shady at best.

Did a little extra research since mattsd's comment got me thinking.

Norinco Model B - Imported 1995 only
Norinco Model 320 - Imported 1996 only

Looks like he's right. There is no way that the Norinco copy could have a legal folding stock.

i think some nocincos are pre 94, but since thier ALL post 89 (922) that is moot. i have seen norincos advertised as "preban" but since thier post 89 they can have no FS, pistol grip. folder, ect. i guess they can have a bayo lug (yank yank)

Okay, now I'm concerned.

The gun has the carbine barrel (16''), a folding stock, and NO bayonnet lug.

I don't know what it's stamped, but I think I'll go back there and check.

Dude, spend some extra money and get something you can be proud of. Don't waste your money on anything Chinese. Besides, UZI's and there clones aren't that great anyways. Get yourself something descent that you don't have to worry about legal issues, unless of course you like ten year prision sentences. Later.

if it has a folder it is not legal, run away.

Get your money and put it toward a vector uzi. Better quality and finish. Hell you can get a preban.
