Anyone have any experience with the Norinco 97 trench, looking at picking one up for shits and giggles but owned a norinco shotgun a few years ago that was an absolute POS. I see alot of SASS shooters use the 1897 norinco and there are some smiths that work on them. Any comments pro or con?

I've heard they are really good and quite accurate recreations. I have handled one (although not shot it) and it was slick. I like the idea of no disconnector and pumping out he mag while holding the trigger. One thing make sure you don't jack up your hand like I did. The mechanism that cocks the hammer can bite your hand pretty bad.

There was another thread about them about a week or two ago. I think it was called trench gun. You may need to go into page 2
