Norinco M1 carbine?

An older man I met at a show this weekend claims to have a M1 Carbine made by Norinco, is there such a beast?
If so good-bad-soso??

Never heard of a Norinco carbine.

Doesn't mean they don't exist, though. Norinco has made clones of many firearms, and they did a bangup job with their 1911.

Nope! He was correct. Norinco did clone an M1 Carbine. There was one for sale on gunbroker about a week or so ago.

Are you talking about one of these......

The only Asian M1 Carbines I am aware of are Howas.
