I am looking into getting a 12-42x56 Nightforce scope for an AR50. What is the difference between their NXS line and their Benchrest line besides about $600??

benchrest has 1/8 min click change POI, Adjustable objective,

NXS has 1/4 min click change POI, side focus

both have illuminated recticles
the illumination brightness is easier to adjust on the benchrest series because it has a reostat on the eyepiece as on off switch

to adjust NXS brightness youhve to remove the battery

For a .50 cal, I would want the more rugged NXS.

The Nightforce  5.5-22X56 NXS was partially developed for use with the .50 Cal.   They are also tested for that use.

I have and use the NXS but for now it is just on my .308, and I love it. I am looking at putting the 2.5-10X24 on my new M1A EBR.
