Kinda looks like what would have been the Russian version of the Tommy gun. Nice work.

Yeah they are kinda steep. But there is a ton of work that goes into em. Im gonna see if I can get a bud who has CNC equipment to do the barrels. That should cut down on the work time considerably View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

If i can get the CNC used that will cut out about 3 hrs of machine time though ETA I was able to get the CNC hook up also a little cheaper on some of the extra 922 parts. So the price is 3250.00 absolute lowest I can go. |

Something like that obviously requires a lot of work to make and ensure function. I was admiring your work and lamenting my lack of funds at the same time. |

View Quote It really is a nice little weapons system. I know why the Ruskies went away from it but I think they were a little premature. It really does make a hell of a SAW and in a pretty good caliber as well. Hell little things like being able to close the top cover without the bolt being back are nice. |

You might request from a moderator that your thread be moved to the RPD forum, seems like it would get more attention by guys interested in RPDs if it were located there. Nice guns btw. |

How'd she run today? I watched you run a mag thru it today and seemed to run great.

Ran it 2k rounds before it had a stoppage. It was just to carboned up and got sluggish. My fault for leaving the gas check in the full open possition. The thing is fun!
BTW there is now a thread on this in the RPD section. |

Could you build one with the over barrel lentgh inclouding flash hider at 16 inches?

Either you are a super ninja in controlling muzzle climb, or the gun doesn't climb much at all. Or some of both. That's impressive.

Even without a brake on it there is less climb than with a M249. I guess I could build some at 14.5 but it would take a little experimenting. Like would you want a full size gas system? Thats quite a project to cut down later. Also if you go short on the gas system and want to cut the barrel later you would have to press it out and probably depopulate the barrel to thread shorter. Pretty big job right there. |
