I'm looking to buy a new flattop upper, with a medium weight 16" barrel for my pre-ban lower.  I want something that will be reliable and accurate.  I'll be adding folding rear/front sights, either an Aimpoint or EOTech sight, and a light.  I've looked on the internet at what is offered by Armalite, Baer, Bushmaster, DPMS, Olympic Arms, Knight, Rock River, Wilson, Z-M Weapons, etc.  They all seem to have uppers I could use and they all tell a good story. What would be your choice, and why?

I have purchased two DPMS (flat top) uppers. Both work great one for a Colt and one for a Armalite. DPMS uses Wilson barrel stock, well put together. Price is good. source:Freedom Enterprises 1-800-440-5437 Spruce Pine NC.

Bushmaster.  Everything I've ever bought from them has worked flawlessly, and the prices ain't bad.  If I want close to milspec (standard pins and fire control parts, no blocks, etc), I stick with Bushmaster.

The other guys are good, too.  I just hate to change horses in mid-stream.
