how good are they are they mil spec will other parts drop in?

I looked at one at my local gun store. The fit and finish were good but it had a 1911 front sight and a 1911A1 rear sight. You might browse the 1911 board. IIRC, I saw the same question over there with several replies. They are not true Rock Island Arsenal guns. Made in the Phillipines I believe.

If you want inexpensive 1911 buy a Systema Colt.If you want a cheap 1911 buy a Rock Island.
