H20_man - not exactly on the subject, but I briefly worked with the guy who made the axe that was painted onto the MH cover. He brought it to work one day. In case you care.

I think the axe was included in Frazetta's original 1973 Death Dealer painting used on Hatchet's 1978 album.

If the guy has the real axe it's priceless ~
