These bullets are rated 12 and as stated on box, optimized for target velocity.

Question:  What velocity should I strive for to optimize this bullet??? 45 ACP revolver,

Thanks

First and foremost,
Decide on a powder.  Then load up some test rounds and hit the range.  Remember your are looking for accuracy, first once a load is found then you can dial in your sights!
Shoot off a solid rest and do your best shooting.  Might want to look at Bullseye or 231/HP38, Titegroup,  N310.
Might want to not worry about velocity unless you are into competition that needs a specific threshold ie power factor?

5.2 grains of WW-231 has been a standard load for general shooting. It's accurate and reliable at 800 fps +/- from most 1911's.

Unburned powder gets ejected back toward the shooter so always wear safety glasses.

I would say around 850 fps would get you were you need to be.

I have several good loads developed for 200 gr SWC using Clays and Titegroup.

But have only shot them in 1911's, haven't ever tried them in a revolver.
