Look forward to your review. For the money and warranty, (10 year tube/lifetime system), these cannot be beat as the best bang for the buck PVS-14 and goggle.  Thank you for your business Sir.

Just a FYI, Jacob and Sam have built up pretty substantial amount of units with the latest 150 tubes that arrived from Elbit over the last few days. We have hundreds more to go, but we're chomping away at the enormous backlog!

Folks have been super happy with these units and for the $2350 sale price and even at the $2455 retail, the best bang for the buck...Oh and yes these new builds still have AUTOGATED tubes, aka Fake News was caught and handled from a viscous rumor.

How about those of us still waiting for our RNVGs?

Oh those are also getting built up.

This post is a little late, but I had wanted to try them a little before making a detailed post.

I ordered my RNVGs on July 3rd because of the sale, but do to an error on my part, the order wasn't logged until the 7th which made the wait a little longer.  The goggles and G24 mount I ordered showed up yesterday via Fedex 2day shipping, as I had let them know I was hoping to try the goggles out at the Cola Warrior East event going on this weekend.  While waiting for the goggles, I had also picked up a Mohawk, battery pack, and a V-lite. Plus I added a set of 4D pads to the helmet. The CS at TNVC was great the whole time.

The set up I ran last night.


I am a total novice when it comes to NV, so it may account for how blown away I was with these goggles. I've looked through some NV 15 years ago, and it was impressive then, but this was off the charts compared to what I remember.

Being new it's going to take some time getting used to manipulating everything by feel in the dark, but I found it not that difficult. Luckily for me, I got to try them out in challenging environmental conditions at the CWE last night. It was dark full cloud cover, and 95% of the time we were on an old logging trail under tree cover. It probably could only have been worse if it were raining or it was thick pines instead of hardwoods.

To get to the range portion of the CWE event, I had to hike down the logging trail. I'm not sure how far the distance was, but it was winding, hilly, and rutted in a lot of places. Despite a lot of scintillation, I had no problem hiking the trail with the goggles on. I have a red admin light on the right side of the helmet, and if I used that it really lit the path up despite being almost non existent to the naked eye.

Once at the range I got see how well the auto gating function worked as we tried out several different variations of IR lights of varying power. I did get to try out my helmet mounted IR light and it was like switching on a huge flood light in the dark woods. I'm almost afraid to try it indoors as the admin light produced enough light for anything close in. I'm actually debating removing the larger light from my helmet and mounting it to another rifle as a backup.

Along with getting to try out my Perst3, I was able to see a full power A2 and I believe a civilian version, plus a Perst 4 and a few IR pistol light/laser combos. I didn't catch what those were. I was very happy with my Perst3 as it was equivalent to the full power A2 as far as light laser combo. I had done a rough zero of the green laser by setting it to my scope at about 50 yards height wise and for offset. I hit steel at a 100 on the first try, so I must have been close.

While I still have a lot of practice to do with the whole thing, and to work bugs out, I'm extremely pleased with the goggles. I shouldn't have waited as long as I did.

What are these rubber pieces that came in bag for my DTNVGs

Those are for retaining the bikini-style lens covers, which you should have also received.

They go over the bikini covers while in place behind the lock rings, keeping your bikini covers in place. There should be a smaller set for the objective end and a larger set for the ocular end.

Needless to say, I haven't got the build schedule on hand/able to look up individual orders on the forum, but the Sales staff should be able to help you. We are working to clear as much of the backlog as possible, and the distribution of lead times between systems and order dates is not necessarily consistent between different types as they're different lists. One of our builders was also mobilized for four weeks earlier this summer with National Guard to assist hurricane relief efforts in Louisiana.
