Man, you guys who got in on the July 4th sale and got your stuff already are making me jealous.

I'm exactly 14 weeks from my order date (April 14th I think) on some hand select white phosphor RNVG's (I was quoted 12-14 weeks). They'll be worth the wait and I don't mind waiting for what I want.. but some of these last posts are making me envious.

Has anyone received an RNVG/DTNVG-XLS units yet? I'm curious how the specs are and how closely matched they are.

Was 4G+ not 4G but the figure they quote is indeed microlux :)  or roughly 1.5 in imperial units.  Likewise its worth noting Omni VIII contract EBI - 3 and OMNI IX contract EBI - 2.  Certainly some good tube specs in the thread list.

Does that mean that the ratio of SNR to EBI is any more or less meaningful in terms of low light capability?
Your chart shows a pretty big difference between chevy69's  27 and Iam4's 166. Would the performance differences be appreciably visible?

1. TNVC thin-filmed WP XLSH PVS-14 (July 4th sale)

2. Bought July 3rd couple hours after the email announcement. 2 - 4 day quoted lead time. Shipped on July 16th. A little longer than quoted, but they obviously got slammed with the sale. Received July 20th.

3. Lum: 1714
Halo: 0.95
EBI: 0.19

FOM: 1414
SNR: 22.1

4. I definitely didn’t win the spec lottery. However, the tube and glass seems very clean. I’ve noticed one small spec in I think Zone 2. It’s only noticeable on a white background and pretty hard to find when in actual use. May be too small to be an actual blem.  I’m pretty new to night vision and have only looked through a couple other PVS-14s with unknown specs so I don’t really have enough experience to give any more review than that. I’m going to get some more use with it and give it a fair chance.

Ironically enough, I just got my FedEx shipping notification today. I'll update when they arrive, but I'm pretty excited. It's gonna be a long few days till it arrives..

I would be stoked.

part of me wants to just go ahead and order them, then by the time they actually arrive the cost difference will be made up.
But with the uncertainty of the Rona and employment these days ive been doing nothing but saving just in case I find myself out of work.

Let me know how these specs shake out. I was a grunt for some time, but never got into the weeds. EBI looks good, but that's all I can really tell.

1. TNVC - NGI  Elbit Thinfilm PVS14

2. 2-4 days to ship. Shipped on day 8

3. Specs on tubes
Luminous 2392
Halo 0.67
EBI 0.62
Resolution 64
FOM 2067.2
SNR 32.3

4. Vendor was responsive. Replied to emails within 24 hours or so. Shipping sucked.

You basically won the lottery as far as $2350 tubes with 10 year tube warranty and lifetime housing warranties go.

With the day cap on, I can see two spots between .006-009 in zone two. Nothing terrible. I can ignore them for the most part.

Bear with us, the volume of orders is record setting and all of our units that were prebuilt are long gone, we are constantly sourcing components to satisfy these orders and so far 90% of the XLS tubes we’ve built meet or exceed milspec mins.

These tubes are such a good value that I’m going to suck it up and buy a set for a spare DTNVG.

you already have like 9 sets of nods save some for the rest of us

hows the components supply holding out? mostly just curious if the lead time is because of waiting for parts/tubes, or if its because a human can only build them so fast.

hopefully lead time goes down in a few months when I can get my order in.

1. N-vision optics, L3 WP filmless PVS-14. Called about availability 7/13/20, received tube specs to pick from on 7/16/20, ordered 7/16/20, received 7/23/20 WOW!
3.  Specs
    FOM 2563
    resolution 72
    S/N 35.6
    EBI 0.6
    Halo 0.6
    Sensitivity 2520
4. Overall impression of said vendor; Great customer service, and very straightforward about wait times and availability. I was on a timeline looking for in-stock hi spec units, called multiple vendors, only place with stuff in stock and ready to go. Tube is flawless, no blems at all, glass appears to be carson :) Overall I am very happy with this vendor. Give them a call if you need stuff ASAP.

I was honestly surprised that you guys were able to get mine out on time. I was expecting my order to be a few weeks over the quoted time frame at least due to demand. Once the July 4th sale hit I was positive it'd be a while.

As someone who's own employment has seen a 50% increase in sales the past four months, I understand the craziness. I appreciate you guys busting ass to get people what they want in between answering questions and other daily operating procedures. It's a juggling act for sure.

Ordered PVS14 White Phosphor High Performance on 6/20 from JRH and normal wait quoted roughly 4 weeks.  I did ask to choose a couple specs so was told it would possibly be a little longer.  Tomorrow is 5 weeks and just got a message that mine is next up.  Will post specs once it comes in.

Recieved Elbit Rnvgs with handpicked specs from Night Solutions last week. Used them for 5 days hard at Cola Warrior Flyover 3 and then got offered a deal I CANNOT refuse to upgrade to l3 unfilmed.

Note I picked these tubes out myself to fit my criteria. Many higher fom units there but i wanted super low Ebi.

Specs on elbits

FOM 1824/2224
Res 64/72
Snr 28.5/30.8
Ebi 0.16/0.34

New l3 specs
FOM 2182/2361
Res 64/72
Snr 34.1/32. 8
Ebi 0.3/0.2

I loooooved my elbits. Wish i could keep those exact tubes for my future loaner mod3s but money is a finite resource.

As far as lead time i think it was about 3 weeks which is was about what I was quoted.

Payment happened when the unit left for my hands. He even offered to loan me his mod3s so that I could do event stuff a day early as the unit wouldnt arrive until Wednesday. Very solid seller and would reccomend to anyone.

Likewise got an RNVG with similar Elbits from Night Solutions. Extremely pleased with the performance. Dealer is communicative and very easy to work with. 10/10 would buy NV from him again.

The belms are one of the best deals around. But 60+day wait, is too much. I don't like what I am seeing in the overall supply chain, 60+ days might as well mean never. So I paid more for an in stock unit.

If you dont mind me asking - is it a 1701 tube or a 18/20/22 ua/um?

Thats really good specs for a 1701 with no noticeable blems. Wonder what the fallout criteria are.

Yep that’s why I was wondering. 1701s are the com spec tubes that failed the 18/20/22 ratings for some reason based on what I’ve read.

Traded in my 1701 DTNVGs for some 20ua RNVGs. I hope to have them by the end of the week.
1. Sureshot night vision
2. Supposed to be a week- week and a half wait time. Received 8-10.
3. Clean no blem tubes, very well matched specs.
72/72 resolution
36.5/36.5 snr
.5/.6 ebi
.7/.6 halo
2725/2734 sensitivity
63867/63220 gain
2628/2628 fom
4. Sureshot is great to work with. Gave me a fair offer on my DTNVG and picked an awesome set of matching tubes for me. Wanted some clean high spec tubes and they were able to get me some quickly. Im very excited to get them in my hands and put them to good use.

Shreddingaxes, I'd be very excited to have either of those tubes!
