[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Need something for Kevlar helmet

My buddy, a cop, gave me a kevlar helmet, statndard USGI that is painted black and says police on the back. Anyways, all I have is the helmet. Where could I get the harness for the inside. BTW, my head size is xxl.

You can really turn your helmet into a useful piece of equipment by added the new gel pads instead of the oldstiring harness. They are alot more money than the string harness; but they make a WORLD of difference.

You can really turn your helmet into a useful piece of equipment by added the new gel pads instead of the oldstiring harness. They are alot more money than the string harness; but they make a WORLD of difference.

I also recommend the SDS three point chin strap system. It really does more than its share in stabilizing the platform, even with NODs.

Hey Brad, do you know if that SDS chin system can be retro-fitted to a Protec skate helmet?

I don't know of anyone that has tried it; but they are only $16.00 if you want a new project. I am sure it can be made to work; but I don't know how much labor it would take to have it perfect.
