Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Need some .308 ballistic info...

I'm thinking of getting one of the DSA OSW's (mini FALs) with either an 11" or 13" barrel.  How much velocity loss am I looking at in comparison to a 16" carbine and 21" rifle?

For some reason I remember seeing something like 100fps less for every inch shorter. I could be wrong though. I will do some looking.

It's approx. 20fps lost for ea. 1" lost in the 2,500-3,000fps range.
